The Gangsta Rap Mine, Compton ✅

Located nearby Los Angeles, Compton is a sector (often considered as a city, it is one, but it is more usually considered a part of the metropolitan area of Los Angeles) in Los Angeles. The city used to be an infamous place because of all the crime that whiped out there. With The Crips and other famous gangs settled there, Compton was a feared place. It appears that Compton has no positive side, but in the late 80s something was about to explode. Some group of artists showed up and made music about their region, having prominent names like Eazy-E or MC Ren. Talking about Eazy-E, he met some other artists: Arabian Prince, Dr.Dre, DJ Yella and Ice Cube, all along made NWA (Niggas With Attitude) with Ren joining later. The first time they appeared on the radar was when they pulled out some good records, like Gangsta Gangsta, which made them get to fame. Their lyrics where often offensive, rude and unsuitable, talking about the dangerous situations they lived in Compton, drugs, sex and vandalism.

Although being the house of Gangsta Rap, Compton has also been the inspiration of many other creations, distinguishing GTA San Andreas sector called Ganton in the city of Los Santos (Los Angeles) where the games' story begin and the protagonist Carl Johnson lives.

Nowadays, Compton's crime rate has gone down and after being called by many sources the most dangerous city of the United States, they are not anymore. Programs are making Compton get out of the pond and stand out as a safe area. Artists like Kendrick Lamar, the remaining members of NWA (only excepting Eazy-E who sadly passed away in 1995 due to aids) or BG Knocc Out and Dresta, keep rocking in the name of Compton, and just widen their legacy even more.
